This statement by British astrophysicist John Gribbin nicely sums up all my thoughts about making art – for me it is a journey towards light, the light already within us.

Science‘s explanation of our cosmic origins and the fact that the word ”art” is a form of the verb ”to be” are my two guiding stars. Everything else inbetween - memories, people, languages, dreams, continents and places - is the rich matrix from which I weave my works.

I am currently preparing a model for the new monumental sculpture park at Suzhou Industrial Park, China. The inauguration takes place in May 2010.
